  • What is hepatitis B ? How is it spread ?

  • Hepatitis B is a liver disease caused by HBV
  • A few people infected with HBV may develop symptoms
  • Some people fail to clear the virus and develop chronic hepatitis B infection
  • and even cirrhosis and liver cancer
  • Mothers with hepatitis B can transmit
  • HBV to their babies during delivery
  • HBV can also be transmitted through contact with blood or body fluids, or sexual contact
